Teenagers at Penistone Group Practice

Teenagers are welcome at Penistone Group Practice.

We provide a confidential service (there is more information about this lower down the page).

We are happy to help with new and ongoing health problems, psychological problems, sexual health and any other health issues. We offer a full range of contraceptive services.

There are several ways you can book in to see a doctor or nurse. When you book an appointment you do not have to tell the receptionist the reason you wish to be seen. If you need emergency contraception please request an urgent appointment.

Drop in:
We have Teenage Pop-in appointments, especially for teenagers, with the practice nurses. You don?t need to book for these appointments, just turn up when the sessions are running and you can be seen.

Teenage Pop-in times are 3.45pm Monday and Friday. Just tell the receptionist you have come along for Teenage Pop-in and no further questions will be asked.

Telephone:
01226 762424

Internet:
To use the internet to book your appointment you need to register, please ask at reception for details. You will need to bring photo ? ID, for example your passport.

Ask for an appointment at reception.

You can come to your appointment by yourself or with a friend.  You do not need an adult with you to be seen.

Confidential Service

Doctors, nurses and all the staff at Penistone Group Practice have a duty to keep information about patients confidential. This applies to children as well as adults.

This means we will not tell your parents, your school or anyone else outside the practice that you have attended the surgery or what you came about.

Only in exceptional circumstances would a doctor or nurse pass on information about you, for example if there were concerns that there was a serious risk to your health and safety or the health and safety of others. The doctor or nurse would usually talk to you about it before passing information on.
